One vial will feed up to 100 square feet * of lawn or garden, a large hedge or four shrubs (5’x3’) or a small tree (approximately 3.5 ft canopy diameter). For instant assimilation (absorption), mix contents with water(.5-1gal per vial) and use as a foliar (leaf) spray, feeding leaves directly (spraying to point of runoff), amino acid chelates are so small that they are absorbed and passed through the plants’ cuticle and cell membranes. Apply by a spray method and in an adequate amount of water that will provide complete coverage of the plant. Use of a non-ionic wetting agent may improve spray coverage of certain hard to wet plants. Hydroponics: 1gram mixed with 10 litres (2.2 gal) makes a 100 ppm solution.

The advantage of using natural chelated forms of minerals is that the

amino acid ligands surround and protect the minerals from adverse

interactions. These interactions can take place in a solution, in the

soil or on the surface of the leaf. They often render non-chelated

Chelation is the process of attaching a specific organic molecule to a mineral in two or more places to form a ring. The molecule holds the mineral like a claw, surrounding and protecting it from adverse interactions. Albion produces mineral nutrients chelated with amino acids. Since amino acids are the basic building blocks of protein found in all living things, the chelation of minerals with amino acids provides a tremendous advantage in the efficiency of absorption and translocation of minerals within plants. Stability Advantage of Albion’s Metalosate® Amino Acid Chelates

The advantages of using amino acids as the ligand for chelating nutritive

metals present unique qualities in stability. The bonding strengths of the

ligand are strong enough for the molecules to remain intact through

application and absorption, but not so strong as to resist breakdown

for metabolic usage of the metal ions by the plant. This fact alone is
